In this project, we were given a container filled with hardware and we were instructed to imagine them as different species. We created a cladogram to group these hardware materials into their different categories, gave them Latin names, and we wrote a story to show how these pieces "evolved" from one to another. My group chose to present our hardware pieces as tooth fossils.

- Taxonomy: Classification of organisms (Species, Genus, etc.)
- Speciation: Formation of new species through evolution
- Classification: A process by which scientists group living organisms based on their similarities
- Evolution: The process by which living organisms are believed to diversify
- Adaptation: A process by which an organism becomes better suited to its environment
Reflection:
Overall, I think that this project was a success. I learned a lot during this project. My group and I achieved our goal in good time, and we worked well together throughout the entire process. One thing in particular that I did well was I was actively contributing to my group. One thing I could work on for the next project is my leadership skills. I wasn't really driving my group forward or helping with decision making. All that being said, I think that overall it was a successful project, and I look forward to doing more projects like it.
